Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tuitioned website and services. By using Tuitioned, requesting a trial class, booking lessons, purchasing tutoring services, or otherwise interacting with our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
In these Terms, “Tuitioned,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Tuitioned. “You” refers to the parent, legal guardian, student, or other user accessing or using our services.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
Services
Tuitioned provides online tutoring services for school-age learners through qualified tutors associated with the Tuitioned platform.
Our services may include, but are not limited to:
- subject-specific tutoring
- homework support
- test preparation
- academic guidance
- lesson scheduling and coordination
- trial lessons
- communication relating to tutoring services
Tuitioned may facilitate tutor matching, lesson scheduling, session delivery, and payment processing as part of its services.
Eligibility
Tuitioned’s services are intended for students and their parents or legal guardians.
If the student is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must request lessons, manage bookings, make payments, and accept these Terms on the student’s behalf.
Tutors working through Tuitioned must meet Tuitioned’s onboarding, qualification, and verification requirements.
Trial Lessons
Tuitioned may offer a complimentary or discounted trial lesson for eligible new users, subject to availability.
Trial lessons:
- may be limited to one per student unless otherwise stated
- may vary in duration depending on the subject or tutor
- are subject to tutor availability and scheduling
- do not guarantee ongoing tutor availability after the trial
Tuitioned reserves the right to modify, limit, or withdraw trial offers at any time.
Fees and Payments
Fees for tutoring services, lesson packages, or other paid services will be communicated before a paid lesson or plan begins.
By purchasing services from Tuitioned, you agree to pay the applicable fees communicated to you at the time of booking or purchase.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers used by Tuitioned. Tuitioned does not guarantee uninterrupted payment processing by third-party providers.
Unless otherwise stated:
- fees are charged for the specific service or package purchased
- fees are non-transferable except where Tuitioned agrees otherwise in writing
- purchased lessons or plans apply only to the student, subject, and service for which they were purchased
Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Cancellation
Lesson scheduling is managed through Tuitioned and/or its approved communication channels.
Users are expected to attend lessons on time and communicate promptly regarding scheduling issues.
Consumer Cancellation or Rescheduling
You may cancel or request to reschedule a lesson by giving at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled lesson time.
If a cancellation or rescheduling request is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, Tuitioned may treat it as a late cancellation or no-show, and the lesson may be charged in full or deducted from the purchased lesson balance.
Tutor or Tuitioned Rescheduling
If a tutor is unavailable or Tuitioned needs to reschedule a lesson for operational reasons, Tuitioned will use reasonable efforts to offer:
- a replacement time
- a substitute tutor
- a replacement session
- another reasonable solution, depending on availability
Refunds
Refunds are not issued for:
- completed lessons
- missed lessons
- no-shows
- late cancellations
However, Tuitioned may consider a refund, credit, or replacement lesson in limited cases, including:
- duplicate payment
- verified technical failure that prevented the lesson from taking place
- tutor no-show
- cancellation by Tuitioned where a suitable replacement could not be arranged
- any case where a refund is required by applicable law
Where approved, refunds will generally be made to the original payment method within a reasonable period.
Lesson Recordings
Some lessons, meetings, or related sessions may be recorded by Tuitioned for purposes such as:
- quality assurance
- tutor training
- service improvement
- safeguarding
- dispute resolution, where appropriate
By using Tuitioned’s services, you acknowledge that session recording practices may apply as described in our Privacy Policy.
User Conduct
All users must act respectfully and professionally when using Tuitioned’s services.
You agree not to:
- engage in abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing conduct
- share unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate content
- misuse the platform or interfere with lesson delivery
- impersonate another person
- attempt unauthorized access to Tuitioned systems or accounts
- use the services for unlawful purposes
Tuitioned may suspend or terminate access to its services where these Terms are violated.
Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, text, graphics, logos, and other materials made available by Tuitioned are owned by or licensed to Tuitioned and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or commercially exploit Tuitioned’s content without prior written permission.
Tutor-created lesson materials remain subject to the rights of the tutor and/or Tuitioned, as applicable, and may only be used for personal educational purposes unless otherwise agreed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Tuitioned’s services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
While we aim to provide reliable and high-quality tutoring services, Tuitioned does not guarantee:
- specific academic results
- uninterrupted availability of the website or services
- availability of any specific tutor
- error-free operation at all times
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tuitioned shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use of its website or services.
Tuitioned’s total liability for any claim relating to paid services will not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Termination
Tuitioned may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to its website or services at its discretion where:
- these Terms are violated
- misuse or abuse is suspected
- payment obligations are not met
- continued service is not reasonably possible
You may stop using Tuitioned’s services at any time, but any outstanding payment obligations and applicable cancellation terms will still apply.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of Tuitioned’s services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties are encouraged to try to resolve disputes through good-faith communication.
Changes to These Terms
Tuitioned may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date on this page. Continued use of our website or services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
